Teams will meet in B1G series Thursday and Friday
The Basics

- The No. 17/16 Ohio State men's hockey team opens a four-game homestand with a series vs. Penn State this week.Â
- The teams will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 p.m. Friday in Value City Arena in Columbus.
- The game Thursday will be televised by BTN, with game two streamed through B1G+. Ohio State Radio will carry the action (1460 AM, Ohio State Buckeyes app and website) and live stats will be available through OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
- Ohio State dropped two games at Princeton last weekend and is 9-4-1 this year, with a 2-2-0 1-0-0 B1G ledger. Penn State swept Colgate at home last weekend and is 6-7-0 overall, with an 0-6-0 0-1-0 B1G record.
- Friday is Pups 'n Pucks night, the first 50 dogs to get a seat will get a dog bandana at the game. While supplies last, fans can enjoy dollar hot dogs at concession stands that night. Saturday is Buckeyes Care night, where the work local business partners do for the Columbus community will be celebrated, and the Ohio State Alumni Band will perform.
- Single game, miniplan and group tickets are all available now. Ticket information and purchasing options are online  and fans can also contact the Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-GOBUCKS (select Option 2, then Option 2) or Athletic.tix@osu.edu. Customer service representatives are available via phone Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Parking is free for all men's hockey home games.
- Notre Dame comes to Columbus next weekend. The annual Teddy Bear Toss will be held during game one, with fans invited to bring a stuffed animal to donate. Game two is the Holiday Game, with fun activations throughout the night.
- Ohio State played its final nonconference games of the regular season last weekend. The schedule ends with 10 straight B1G series.
- Ohio State is No. 17 in the USCHO poll and No. 16 in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live rankings this week, its seventh-consecutive week in the Top 20.
- The Buckeyes are in the Top 15 in the NCAA in scoring offense (3.21 goals per game), scoring defense (2.21 goals allowed per game) and scoring margin (+1.0).
- Five Buckeyes have at least 50 career points. Gunnarwolfe Fontaine is first with 109, Aiden Hansen-Bukata has 89, Davis Burnside has recorded 59, Joe Dunlap has 53 and Patrick Guzzo has 52. Goalie Logan Terness made his 50th collegiate start earlier this year.
- Ohio State leads the all-time series with Penn State, 25-22-4, including a 14-13-2 record in Columbus.
- Last season, Penn State won all four meetings between the teams, with two 4-3 wins in State College Jan. 26-27 and 5-2 and 2-1 victories in Columbus March 1-2.Â
- Among current Buckeyes, Patrick Guzzo has appeared in a team-high 18 games against Penn State and Joe Dunlap has skated in 17 games vs. the Nittany Lions. Dunlap leads the current Buckeyes with five goals and seven points vs. PSU and Davis Burnside has a 3-3-6 line in 11 games.
