COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (9-0, 1-0 B1G) hosts Youngstown State (6-4, 2-0 HL) on Saturday for an 11 a.m. ET tip. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460.

Saturday's game is girl dad day and youth day. The first 300 fans at the Northwest and Northeast entrances will receive a free hair clip. From the time doors open until halftime, there will be a balloon artist, face painter and inflatables on the concourse. The alumni band will be playing the national anthem and frisbee dogs will perform at halftime.

- Ohio State earned an 80-48 win against Ball State on Tuesday after a quick turnaround from Sunday evening's Big Ten opener.
- The Buckeyes had four in double figures - Chance Gray (21), Ava Watson (15), Taylor Thierry (12) and Ajae Petty (10). Petty and Elsa Lemmilä led the Buckeyes on the boards with eight apiece, while Thierry chipped in seven. Gray sunk four triples and Watson made a trio of three's.
- Ohio State's defense forced 27 Ball State turnovers and picked up seven steals, also forcing the Cardinals to shoot just 19 percent from three.
- Youngstown State visits Columbus with a 6-4 record after winning its first two league games against Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky.
- The Penguins won their first four games of the season (Lake Erie College, St. Bonaventure, Clarion and Mercyhurst) before losing the next four (Bucknell, Xavier, Southern Indiana, Towson). YSU snapped that four-game losing streak with back-to-back conference wins.
- Youngstown State has a pair averaging double figures this season - Jewel Watkins (14.6 ppg) and Malia Magestro (14.2 ppg). Abby Liber and Sophia Gregory lead YSU on the boards with 7.0 and 6.0 rebounds per game, respectively. Taylor Thierry's twin sister, Haley, is a guard for Youngstown State.
- Ohio State leads 3-0 in the all-time series against Youngstown State and is 2-0 when facing the Penguins in Columbus.
- The most recent meeting in the series was on Dec. 19, 2007 when the Buckeyes earned a 84-50 win in Columbus.
