COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 1 seed and top-ranked Ohio State (12-1-3) placed nine Buckeyes on the annual postseason Big Ten honors list, the league office announced Friday.
Brian Maisonneuve, in his seventh season in Columbus, was named the Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Buckeyes to the 2024 Big Ten Regular-Season title and the top seed in the league tournament. Ohio State finished with a 7-1-2 record in conference play.
Senior Michael Adedokun, a native of Eruwa, Nigeria, playing in his second season at Ohio State, was named the Big Ten Midfielder of the Year after leading the league in points (27) and assists (11). Both Maisonneuve and Adedokun were unanimous selections in a vote by the league coaches.
Adedokun also was named to the All-Big Ten First Team along with defenders Siggi Magnusson and Deylen Vellios, both of whom are in their final years of eligibility in Columbus.
