Â
Ohio State completed the home portion of the regular season undefeated at 7-0-3. The Buckeyes finished 7-0-2 at home during the 2022 regular season and then added a win in the 2022 Big Ten Tournament over MSU for an 8-0-2 record at JOMS that year.
Â
Ohio State was 8-0-1 in 2010, 4-0-1 in 1974 and 4-0-0 in both 1965 and 1967 to mark the only other undefeated home seasons in Ohio State history. The eight home wins this year and 2022 are the most since a 10-2-2 record at JOMS in 2015.
Â
Ohio State honored seniors Michael Adedokun, Tommaso Villa, David Wrona, Siggi Magnusson, Anthony Samways, Parker Grinstead and Deylen Vellios during pregame ceremonies.
Â
Max Trejo was slated as the starting goalkeeper against the Spartans but was injured during warmups. Redshirt freshman Patrick McLaughlin then got the start. Â
Â
Earlier in the day, Adedokun was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Buckeyes to a 2-0 win over Northwestern last Friday in Columbus. Adedokun assisted on the game's first goal and scored an insurance goal in the win.
Â
How it Happened
Wrona put the Buckeyes on the board first after junior Ashton Bilow split defenders with a pass from just outside the box that Wrona collected and put it past a charging Spartan keeper Zac Kelly in the bottom left corner of the MSU net. Â Â Â Â

Â
The Spartans levelled the score at 1-all with a goal in the 63' by Sean Kerrigan and then took the lead in the 66' on a goal by Richie Ludwig.
Â
Ohio State freshman David Ajagbe tied it at 2-all when he headed in a shot from a Donovan Williams cross from the left side. It was the sixth goal of the year for Ajagbe and the first career assist for Williams.
