Eight Buckeyes Earn Midseason All-America Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Eight Ohio State Buckeyes have earned midseason All-America honors, led by graduate student and fifth-year center Seth McLaughlin, who was chosen as a first team honoree by the Associated Press.
The Buckeyes' other midseason All-Americans on the offensive side of the ball are WR Jeremiah Smith (second team by The Athletic and The Sporting News), OT Josh Simmons (second team by the Associated Press and the Senior Bowl) and OG Donovan Jackson (second team by the Associated Press).
On defense, four Buckeyes were honored: SAF Caleb Downs (second team by the Associated Press, The Athletic and CBS Sports), DT Tyleik Williams (The Sporting News), SAF Lathan Ransom (second team by the Associated Press) and Ty Hamilton (second team by the Associated Press and the Senior Bowl).
Following an off weekend, Ohio State, No. 4 in the latest Associated Press poll, returns to action when it hosts Nebraska next Saturday at Ohio Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon with FOX televising the game nationally.
