
Buckeyes Host Wolverines for ‘Scarlet Out’ in the Schottenstein Center

Ohio State will play at the Schottenstein Center for the first time in program history on Sunday at 1 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (8-7, 1-4 B1G) hosts its first match in the Schottenstein Center in program history on Sunday against Michigan (13-2, 3-1 B1G). First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. in a match broadcast on B1G+. Parking is free for fans in the lots across the street by the baseball and softball stadiums, as well as the normal Buckeye lots.
Fans are asked to wear red as the Buckeyes 'Scarlet Out' the Schott. There will be a rally towel giveaway to the first 7.000 fans at the NW and NE rotundas. The first 600 Ohio State students will receive a free T-shirt at the SW rotunda by showing their BuckID. There will be a meet and greet with the team following the match in the East market area. The Buckeyes will also be honoring the 1994 Big Ten Championship and NCAA national semifinal team.

- Ohio State earned its first sweep (25-23, 25-16, 26-24) of conference play on Thursday night at Northwestern. The Buckeyes totaled a season-high 11 aces and recorded 10+ blocks for the eighth time this season.
- Emmi Sellman had a career-highs in kills (13) and digs (5), while Reese Wuebker recorded a career-high in aces (3).
- Kamiah Gibson earned her first double-double of the season with 31 assists and a season-high 10 digs.
- Emily Londot led the team in kills (15) and Olivia Hasbrook did so in digs (12).
- Michigan enters the weekend with a 13-2 overall record and a 3-1 mark in conference play. The Wolverines are scheduled to host Illinois on Friday night.
- UM's only losses of the season are to then No. 21 USC and North Carolina. The Wolverines have earned wins over Delaware, Kent State (twice), Eastern Michigan, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Sacramento State, Akron, Oakland, Duke, Michigan State, Rutgers and UCLA.
- Allison Jacobs leads Michigan's offense and ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 4.07 kills/set, while Morgan Burke is eighth in the conference in assists/set (10.08). Defensively, Maddi Cuchran is sixth in the B1G in digs/set (3.90).
- Ohio State leads 56-28 in the all-time series against Michigan and is 30-9 against the Wolverines in Columbus.
- Last season, the Buckeyes fell in the season's lone meeting in Ann Arbor in four sets (25-20, 22-25, 21-25, 22-25). The teams were virtually even in hitting percentage. Londot led the match with 20 kills and the team with 12 digs.
- The most recent match in Columbus took place on Oct. 28, 2022 when Ohio State earned the sweep (25-17, 25-21, 25-23). Londot also had a double-double in this match by tying the match-high 13 kills and team-high 12 digs.
