COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4 Ohio State women's hockey team hosts a top five matchup at the OSU Ice Rink this weekend as it welcomes No. 2 Minnesota Oct. 11-12. The Buckeyes (4-2-0, 2-2-0 WCHA) and Gophers (4-0-0, 0-0-0 WCHA) face off at 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday and both games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).

The Buckeyes will celebrate Alumni Weekend and the 2024 national championship team this weekend at the OSU Ice Rink.
The 2024 national title banner will be dropped prior to Friday's game. Replica banner rally towels will be given to fans in attendance.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell

Ohio State enters the weekend 2-2-0 against ranked teams this season. The Buckeyes most recently swept No. 8 St. Lawrence last weekend on the road.
The Buckeyes are led by graduate forward Jenna Buglioni with seven points on the year. Buglioni has tallied a point in five of six games this season.
Buglioni is tied with Jocelyn Amos and Jordyn Petrie with a team-high four goals on the year. Emma Peschel and Maddi Wheeler lead the Buckeyes with five assists.

Goaltenders Amanda Thiele and Hailey MacLeod have been splitting time so far this season with three games played apiece. Both own 2-1-0 records on the year. Thiele leads the way with a 2.00 goals-against average and MacLeod paces the duo with a .894 save percentage.
Ohio State head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her ninth season at the helm of the Buckeyes, is one win short of 200 for her career with an all-time record of 199-75-10. Muzerall became the program's winningest coach last season.
Ohio State looks to earn its first win on home ice of the season this weekend. The team started the year with a top 10 matchup against WCHA foe Minnesota Duluth and dropped both games of the series by just one goal in the third period.
This weekend also marks the first of the season with all eight WCHA teams playing for conference points. Ohio State has six points entering the weekend and is 2-2-0 in league play. Minnesota will play its first WCHA games of the year against the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes are 28-82-6 in the all-time series against the Gophers.
The last time the teams met, the Buckeyes outscored Minnesota, 13-1 in the series.
Ohio State head coach Nadine Muzerall is a former Gopher, having won two national titles there as a player and four as an assistant coach. She also coached her assistant coach, Kelsey Cline, at Minnesota from 2014-17.
