COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Ohio State winter/spring programs are all currently positioned at the top of their respective sports' national rankings as the No. 1 team in the nation:Â

Women's Hockey
The team is under the direction of eighth-year coach Nadine Muzerall, who last week became the winningest coach in program history and now has 180 victories. The team is 20-2-0 on the season, 17-1-0 in the WCHA and has been ranked No. 1 since Nov. 20. Included is a 10-0 record against other perennial powers Minnesota, Minnesota-Duluth and Wisconsin. The Buckeyes have played in the last two national championship games, winning in 2022.Â

Men's VolleyballÂ
Coach Kevin Burch, now in his fifth season at the helm of the program, has his team rolling. Ohio State powered to the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament last year behind 12 consecutive wins. The Buckeyes, 6-0, have won three consecutive matches over nationally ranked teams, including a five-set win Friday in Austin, Texas, over previous No. 1 and defending national champion UCLA. The team is ranked No. 1 for the 18th time in program history.

Men's Tennis
The men's tennis program, under the direction of Ty Tucker, advanced to the NCAA championship match last year for the third time and is currently 2-0 on the young season with four home matches this week. The program has been ranked No. 1 for 34 weeks under Tucker, spanning seven different seasons, has won 17 consecutive Big Ten Conference titles and two ITA indoor national titles while playing in four other indoor championship matches. Since 2006, Tucker's Buckeyes are 181-2 in Big Ten regular season play.Â
