COLUMBUS, Ohio – Stephen Halliday, a sophomore forward on the Ohio State men's hockey team, has been voted Preseason First Team All-Big Ten. The honorees were selected by the conference coaches.

Halliday, from Glenwood, Md., and an Ottawa Senators draft pick, led the Buckeyes with 32 assists and 41 points last season, earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten accolades. He was 10th in the NCAA and fourth in the Big Ten with .80 assists per game and ranked seventh in the B1G in points per game (1.02). As a rookie, Halliday had 10 multiple-point outings, including five three-point days and a four-point performance. Seven of his nine goals came on the power play and he played in all 40 Buckeye outings.

The Buckeyes, ranked 13th in the preseason USCHO poll, open the season with a road game at Mercyhurst Oct. 7 before hosting Lindenwood Oct. 13-14 in Value City Arena. Season, single-game, mini-plan and group tickets are all available now, with information and purchasing options HERE.
