Captains Selected for 2023 Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With the 2023 Ohio State Men's Soccer season set to begin Thursday, the team voted for its 2023 captains Monday following the conclusion of preseason training.Â
Seniors Laurence Wootton, Brayden Durbin, Owen Sullivan and Deylen Vellios will lead the Buckeyes this season.Â
Each has been a Buckeye for at least four years and combined, the quartet has 18 years of playing experience in Columbus.Â
Ohio State will open the 2023 regular season in the annual Wolstein Classic Thursday. Dayton and UC Davis get things underway at 4 p.m. followed by the Buckeyes vs. CSUN at 7 p.m. All home matches are played at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.Â
Admission and parking to all Ohio State regular-season home games are free.Â
