Five Buckeyes Competing at 2023 U23 World Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five Buckeyes will be competing at the Under 23 World Rowing Championships for their respective countries beginning Thursday in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Ohio State will have three Buckeyes competing in the Women's Eight, one competing in the Women's Coxed Four and one in the Women's Quad.
Current Buckeyes Olivia Clotten and Emilia Fritz (Germany) will race in the second heat of the W8+ Thursday, facing incoming Buckeye Emma Cuzzocrea (Italy) and the USA 8+.
Two additional incoming Buckeyes also will compete this week, Giorgia Borriello (Italy) and Ula Jonusaite (Lithuania).
Giorgia will race in the Women's 4+ with all five entries (Italy, Australia, USA, New Zealand, and Germany) racing in the A Final Sunday.
Ula will race against Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark and China in the second heat of the Women's Quad Thursday.
