Wrapping up another busy week in Buckeye athletics …
The men’s volleyball team continues to roll! The Buckeyes defeated King University last night in the NCAA Tournament opening round, 3-0, including a 36-34 third-set win, to advance to play Penn State Tuesday in Fairfax, Va., at 7:30 p.m. The team has won 12 consecutive matches.

The men’s tennis team won its 15th Big Ten Tournament championship yesterday with its third win this season over Michigan. Coach Ty Tucker’s team, a winner of 17 consecutive Big Ten regular season championships, is 29-2 on the season.

The women’s tennis team advanced to the finals of its Big Ten tournament and finished as runner-up. The team is 20-7 on the year and awaits an NCAA bid.

The baseball team won games 1 and 3 to win the three-game series over Illinois this weekend and improve to 22-22 overall and 5-13 in the Big Ten.

The track and field teams competed at the prestigious Penn Relays with Buckeyes sweeping wins in the triple jump (Jaimie Robinson and Clarence Foote-Talley), and the women’s 4×400-meter relay team breaking the school record for a second time this season.

The third and final round of the Big Ten men’s golf championship was washed out because of rain. Ohio State finished in a tie for fifth-place and Maxwell Moldovan also finished in a tie for fifth individually.
