COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 7 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team (11-10, 1-3 B1G) travels to Penn State for the 2023 NCAA Championships this weekend.

The Buckeyes earned their second-highest team score of the season (405.500) at the Big Ten Championships but finished fifth overall.
Donovan Hewitt (rings), Kameron Nelson (vault) and Caden Spencer (high bar) all earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors.
Luke Smigliani was named Ohio State’s Sportsmanship Award honoree.
On the night of the Big Ten team championship, Parker Thackston’s 13.850 on pommel horse and Spencer’s personal-best 14.400 on high bar were both second in the competition. Nelson had the third-best score on vault (14.750).
Ohio State had eight entries spanning five different events in the event finals at the Big Ten Championships.
Leading the way at the Big Ten event finals was Hewitt, who was the runner-up on rings (14.175). Nelson finished third on vault (14.625) and Spencer finished fourth on high bar (14.275) with a stuck dismount.
