COLUMBUS, Ohio –The 2023 ACC/Big Ten Regatta, originally scheduled to take place at Lake Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia, has been moved to the Rivanna Reservoir Boathouse in Charlottesville this weekend because of poor weather conditions expected at the race site (Lake Monticello, Va.).
Ohio State and Virginia are now scheduled to race at 5:30 p.m. Friday with the Buckeyes and Duke Blue Devils set for 9 a.m. Saturday. Michigan will row against Duke Friday and Virginia Saturday.
Ohio State, the defending Big Ten Champions, is racing in the second event of the season after traveling to Camden, N.J.,, for the IVY/Big Ten Dust Up March 25.
Ohio State finished in the No. 8 spot at the 2022 NCAA Championships after winning the 2022 Big Ten Regatta, the 10th conference title and first for Kate Sweeney, now in her fourth season as head coach of the Buckeyes.
