Wrapping up another busy week in Buckeye athletics …
For the fourth time in school history and all under the direction of coach Nadine Muzerall, our women’s hockey team is heading to the Frozen Four. The Buckeyes begin defense of their 2022 National Championship Friday in Duluth against Northeastern.
A fine, 25-7 season for our women’s basketball team has earned it a No. 3 seed and the opportunity to host games this weekend at Value City Arena. The team will play James Madison at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Men’s basketball won three games at the Big Ten tournament – over Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan State – before losing in the semifinals to NCAA No. 1 seed Purdue. The Buckeyes won five of their final seven games of the season.
The baseball Buckeyes have won four consecutive games and six of seven to improve to 8-6 on the season with their Bill Davis Stadium home opener set this weekend with three games against Dayton.

The softball team won three of four over the weekend to improve to 9-7. Included was a five-inning perfect game by Emily Ruck in the win over Canisius.

Adelaide Aquilla captured her fourth NCAA Championship in the shot put with an indoor personal-best throw of 63-3-1/4 to lead the women’s track and field team to an 18thplace finish at the NCAA Championships. The men’s team was led by triple jump All-American Clarence Foote-Talley.
We had 17 members of our fencing program compete at the NCAA Midwest Regionals in Evanston, Ill., over the weekend. Henry Lange led the Buckeyes with a first-place finish in men’s epee, while five other Buckeyes claimed third-place finishes. NCAA invites come out this week.
Eight divers competed at the NCAA Zone C championships over the weekend and seven have moved on to the NCAA Championships. Three women’s divers will join 15 swimmers and compete at the NCAA women’s championships starting Wednesday in Knoxville, Tenn.
