Men’s lacrosse opened our wonderful new stadium Saturday with a 15-7 win over Air Force in front of 1,168 fans. Our women’s team will play their first game in their new home Friday at 3 p.m. vs. Robert Morris.

The Ty Tucker Tennis Center was hopping this weekend as our women’s tennis team improved to 5-0 with wins over No. 19 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Georgia, and our men’s team defeated No. 23 Texas A&M and No. 6 Texas to improve to 9-0.

More than 15,000 fans watched the men’s hockey team take on Penn State Friday and Saturday at Value City. The teams split wins and Ohio State is now 17-10-1 on the year and tied for second in the Big Ten.

The women gymnasts recorded the second-best score in school history – 196.475 – in their win over Maryland to improve to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in the Big Ten.

Wrestling had another sold-out crowd at the Covelli Center Friday night for their match against No. 1 ranked Penn State. The team also wrestled at Northwestern this weekend and won to improve to 12-2 overall and 6-1 in the Big Ten.

The synchronized swimming team earned an overall score of 104 points to defeat Texas Woman’s University (65 points) and Michigan (42 points) Saturday at the Jessica Beck Memorial Competition.

The men’s volleyball team competed in the Big Ten/Pac 12 Challenge at State College this weekend and played really well: the Buckeyes defeated No. 10 USC in four sets after dropping a tense and exciting, 3-1 decision to No. 2 UCLA.

Both fencing teams were unbeaten at the Northwestern Duals this weekend: the women went 12-0, including wins over nationally ranked Northwestern, Temple and Stanford, to improve to 39-8 on the season while the men went 8-0 to close out their regular season with a 33-9 record.

Women’s hockey went on the road for a tough series at Minnesota, won the finale 5-1 to earn the split, and now stands 25-3-2 on the season.

Women’s basketball split two road games – winning at Wisconsin and falling at Maryland – and the team is now 20-4 overall and 9-4 in the Big Ten.

The track and field teams competed at the Notre Dame Invite and also at the Judd Logan Invite at Ashland University this weekend with wins at Notre Dame from Akemi Von Scherr (3,000), Daniella Santos (mile) and Jaydan Wood (400).
