COLUMBUS, Ohio – Michigan State used a pair runs, one in each half, to build a lead and keep control as Ohio State fell on Sunday 62-41.
Sean McNeil made a pair of three-pointers and finished with 10 points. He is just four three-pointers shy of 200 in his career.
Freshman point guard Bruce Thornton scored nine points, grabbed five rebounds and had two assists. Zed Key led the team with eight rebounds.
Michigan State had a 13-0 run in the first half to build a 27-14 lead at the break. Ohio State would cut the lead to as little as five at 38-33 with 11 minutes to play. After a missed opportunity in transition for the Buckeyes, MSU answered with a three-pointer and went on an 18-4 run to put the game away.

The Buckeyes hit the road two games this week starting on Thursday night at Iowa. That will be followed by a trip to No. 1 Purdue next Sunday.
