
Yost Wins National Title, Punches Ticket to World Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A national title for Lyle Yost on the 1-meter springboard highlighted the week for the Ohio State divers competing at Winter Nationals in Knoxville, Tenn.
Yost placed second in the preliminaries and wowed in the finals, turning in an aggregate score of 743.65 to claim his first-ever Winter Nationals title. The win secured Yost a spot on Team USA for the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar in February.
Ciara McGing placed 10th in the women's platform dive with an overall score of 503.10. Janie Boyle's score of 477.80 earned her a 13th-place finish.
Jack Matthews competed in the 3-meter springboard finals. He placed 12th with an overall score of 616.15.
