Ohio State tied a season-low 13 points allowed in the first half.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12/11 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1) beat Ohio (2-4) by an 85-45 margin on Tuesday evening inside Value City Arena.
Both teams started slowly offensively but Ohio State scored four of its final five attempts in the opening quarter to lead 16-6. The Buckeyes built the lead to 42-13 at halftime after a 26-7 advantage in the second quarter. Ohio State extended its lead to 66-29 after 30 minutes and finished with an 85-45 win.
Emma Shumate finished with a career-high 22 points, including a career-high six three-pointers. Rebeka Mikulášiková reached double figures before Ohio did as a team and finished with 13 points. Taylor Thierry (15) and Cotie McMahon (14) also reached double figures. Celeste Taylor tied her season-best seven assists. Kaia Henderson also scored a career-high six points, going 3-of-3 from the field.
How it Happened
Rebeka Mikulášiková opened scoring with a three-pointer as each team started slowly on the offensive end. The Buckeyes held a 4-3 lead midway through the quarter. Ohio State strung together a 13-0 run, holding Ohio scoreless for more than seven minutes and led 16-6 after 10 minutes.
The teams traded three-pointers to open the second quarter before a 10-0 Buckeye run extended OSU's lead to 29-9 with 5:49 remaining in the half. Shumate hit three-unanswered three-pointers to extend the Buckeyes' lead to 38-11 with 2:21 to play. Another Shumate triple gave the Buckeyes a 42-13 advantage at halftime.
Ohio opened second-half scoring with a three-pointer before another 10-0 OSU run over the next two minutes increased the Buckeye lead to 52-16 with 6:19. Neither team scored more than five-unanswered points for the remainder of the quarter as the Buckeyes led 66-29 after 30 minutes.
Taiyier Parks and Kaia Henderson opened the fourth quarter with back-to-back layups. The Buckeyes finished the game with a three-pointer from Diana Collins to cap an 85-45 win after a back-and-forth quarter.
