Buckeyes Continue Early-Season Schedule with Win over Akron

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol team totaled 6752 points and remained undefeated on the season with a victory over Akron on Sunday.
Jackson Leverett finished first overall with an aggregate score of 1,715 and was followed in third place by Panagiota Charalampous (1,651).
In the air pistol, J. Leverett was first overall (574), followed by second-place Katelyn Abeln (565), third-place Jonathan Dorsten (557) and fourth-place Charalampous (554).
The Buckeyes had four of the top five finishers in the sport pistol. Abeln won the event with a final score of 582 while J. Leverett was second at 577. The Buckeyes finished off the match by having five of the top six placers in the standard pistol. J. Leverett had his second event win of the day with a final of 564.
