- Head Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg:
- "It's always tough when you lose a player to an injury the day of a match. I think the response from Zaria [Ragler] was impressive. It goes to show what she's bringing every day in practice. She just works hard. She makes us better and she's just been grinding and to see her rewarded on the court is a big deal – a big deal for the team and especially for Zaria. She proved a lot tonight."
- "Regardless of what our record is and regardless of what the season may look like, can we go out and just compete and play at a level that we know we're capable of? In a sense, the pressure is off. I liked their response last night in the locker room that we're not going to give up. We're going to keep grinding and keep getting better. How much better can we get throughout the year? They came into practice today with a great mindset. It was good to see."
- Sophomore middle Zaria Ragler:
- "I just played loose and free and communicated with my teammates on what we had to work on and pay attention to – it really helped a lot. This whole match was very much calm and everyone was giving each other eye contact. It was good."
- "I feel like we did a lot better with just forgetting the next play if we got ace'd or they got the point. We did better with forgetting about it and it helped a lot. Reminding our passers that it doesn't have to be perfect and they killed it today."
- Senior outside Emily Londot:
- "I think having a great offensive lineup – everyone was producing today, which really helped. Even if people weren't getting the ball, they were calling for it with all their might so it really distracted the blockers. They had some seams and we found those."
- "I thought our communication with not just the people in serve receive, but the people in the front row and the setter. Our communication all around helped us just relax into the game and do what we do every day in practice."
