- Head Coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg:
- "When you have highs and lows – obviously with the highs, everyone is in good spirits and you're competing hard. The lows were pretty low for us tonight. When we're all riding those waves, the results aren't in our favor. The players talk about consistency. That's something that we're preaching every single day, whether it's in practice or a match, and we just didn't have that tonight. I think there were moments where we were really good and certainly moments where we were bad and we have to be more consistent for longer and for the entire match."
- Sophomore defensive specialist Anna McClure:
- "I think I was really well-prepared. When I was a non-starter, I was digging against Emily Londot every single practice and I think that makes me better, her better and this team better. Because of this, I feel extremely prepared going into matches like this."
- Freshman outside hitter Lauren Murphy:
- "For me as a freshman, I've been trying to learn through the game so I think tonight was a great learning experience with facing a block that size."
