
Ohio State Fires 4702, Bests Akron on Veteran’s Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Rifle Team travel to Akron, Ohio on Veteran's Day to compete against the Akron Zips. The team fired a team score of 4702 (Akron 4690) and were led by Derek Keiser who fired a match best aggregate score of 1181.
In smallbore, the team had a score of 2337 led by Keiser's career best score of 591. He was followed by Viktor Kiss (583), Adrienne Hanson (582), Paige Hollowell (581), and Lillian Warren (573) who rounded out team scoring. Nathan Wehrlen led the way for Ohio State's individuals with a season best score of 585. Tyler Hanson (570), Dylan Gregory (567), Frank Steyn (566), Philip Becker (565), John Hamilton (564), and Eva Horgan (554) rounded out individual scoring.
In air rifle, the Buckeyes fired a team score of 2365 led by Viktor Kiss (595) and Paige Hollowell (593) while Derek Keiser (590), Lillian Warren (587), and John Hamilton (582) rounded out team scoring. Dylan Gregory led the way for Ohio State's individuals with a season best score of 587 while Adrienne Hanson (585), Frank Steyn (584), Tyler Hanson (577), Eva Horgan (575), Philip Becker (574), and Nathan Wehrlen (574) rounded out individual scoring.
Coach Tanoue: "Today was another solid performance from the team and our consistency over the past few weeks has been a major positive as we head toward the end of the fall portion of the season. That said we know that there is a lot more performance there for us to achieve and next week will provide two great opportunities to take that next step."
Ohio State will round out the fall portion of the schedule with a pair of matches at UTEP on November 18 and 19.
