- Addie Engel defended her Big Ten women’s cross country championship Friday in Madison, Wis. Daniella Santos was eighth as the women finished fifth as a team. Zubin Jha paced the Buckeye men with a Top 20 finish, with the men placing seventh.

- The men’s soccer team (5-6-5, 3-4-1 Big Ten) defeated No. 16 Michigan State, 3-2, and then Maryland, 4-1, on Senior Day at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and has qualified for the Big Ten Tournament where it will play at Michigan State Friday in a quarterfinal match.




- No. 2 women’s hockey swept No. 4 Minnesota at the OSU Ice Rink over the weekend, 4-3 on OT and 6-5, for its third consecutive series sweep and improving its record to 7-1-0, 6-0-0 WCHA.
- Congratulations to former women’s hockey player Sophie Jaques, who has been named one of the Top 30 honorees for the 2023 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

- The No. 16 men’s hockey team shut out No. 20 Omaha, 4-0, Saturday after skating to a 2-all tie on Friday. The Buckeyes are now 3-1-3




- Women’s soccer went back-and-forth with one of the hottest teams in the country before dropping a 3-2 Big Ten tournament match to No. 19 Nebraska. The team is now 9-7-2 on the season. The NCAA draw is Monday, Nov. 6.




- The football team stayed unbeaten with a 24-10 win at Wisconsin to move to 8-0 and 5-0 in the Big Ten.

- After beating Northwestern earlier in the week, the women’s volleyball team dropped a four-set match at Michigan in the first Big Ten match in conference history to be broadcast on FOX.

- Five swimmers and divers competed at the Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile last week and combined to earn four medals: a gold and two silver medals by Team USA member Amy Fulmer and a bronze by Alex Axon, competing for Team Canada. NCAA champion diver Lyle Yost (USA), swimmer Kristen Romano (Puerto Rico) and swimmer Daniel Garcia (Canada) also competed.

- The crowd at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion was electric this weekend as the swimming and diving teams opened the season with victories over Virginia Tech.
