Kirk Earns Buckeyes’ First WCHA Weekly and Monthly Awards of the Season

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's hockey senior goaltender Raygan Kirk was named Goaltender of the Week by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Monday. She then followed that up with conference Goaltender of the Month honors on Tuesday.
Kirk earned the start for the Buckeyes in Saturday's game against then-ranked No. 4 Colgate. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native made 31 saves on 33 shots faced to help the Buckeyes to a 3-2 win over the Raiders. With the win, Kirk improves to 13-2-1 for her Buckeye career.
This week's Goaltender of the Week award is the third of her career. She earned the honor twice last season. The WCHA Goaltender of the Month award is the first of her career.
Ohio State is back in action Oct. 13-14 to start its conference slate at Minnesota Duluth. Both games are set for 4 p.m. ET at AMSOIL Arena and will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
