COLUMBUS, Ohio – Faith Choi tied for third place as the Ohio State women's golf team wrapped up its fall season at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah on Tuesday. Choi, whose 17 birdies were the most among the field of 84 players, fired a 67 (-5) in the final round, tying her career low. She finished with a career-best 54-hole score of 208 (-8).
The Buckeyes placed eighth overall, carding a team score of 291 (+3) in the final round to finish with a 54-hole score of 866 (+2). Ohio State tied for fourth-most birdies among the 15-team field with 50.
Caley McGinty tied for 27th place. McGinty shot 74 (+2) in the final round for a three-round total of 217 (+1). McGinty shot par on 37 holes, which was tied for fourth-most among all the players in the tournament and added seven birdies.
Kary Hollenbaugh carded a 75 (+3) on the final 18 holes of play to finish the tournament with a score of 218 (+2). She tied for 33rd place and recorded 11 birdies.
Emily Hummer, who recorded eight birdies at Medinah, shot 75 (+3) on Tuesday, finishing with a 54-hole score of 225 (+9) to tie for 62nd place.
Jillian Bourdage tied for 69th with an overall score of 227 (+11). She shot 78 (+6) in the final round and birdied seven times over three rounds of play.
Kavya Ajjarapu, who competed as an individual, shot 76 (+4) on Tuesday, finishing in 74th place with a 54-hole score of 231 (+15). She turned in six birdies over the course of the tournament.
