COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeye student-athletes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom or in the community. ‘Buckeye Spotlight’ recognizes student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.
Here are this week’s ‘Buckeye Spotlight’ student-athletes:
Brayden Durbin | Men’s Soccer | Sr. | Pickerington (North), Ohio
- Brayden Durbin scored the game-tying goal in a 3-all draw at No. 14 Akron Sept. 13.
- The goal, the first of his career, came in the 83rd minute vs. the Zips.
- He has played in all seven games this season for the undefeated (5-0-2) Buckeyes.
- Durbin helped hold No. 15 Indiana to just five shots in a 2-1 home win over the Hoosiers Sunday.
- He has played in 46 career games in the Scarlet and Gray.

Dallan Hayden | Football | Fr. | Memphis, Tenn.
- Dallan Hayden’s first extended playing time at Ohio Stadium was memorable for the 5-10 true freshman.
- Hayden carried the ball 17 times vs. Toledo last Saturday and totaled 108 yards, including a career-long 45-yard scamper that almost resulted in a touchdown.
- Hayden did get into the endzone later in the game, scoring from one yard out.
- Aided by Hayden’s big day, the Ohio State offense totaled 763 total yards – the second-most in school history – and scored touchdowns on 11 of 12 possessions.

Reilly MacNeill | Women’s Volleyball | Sr. | Marietta, Ga.
- Reilly MacNeill made the first two starts of her career against Tennessee and at No. 12 Pitt to wrap up the Buckeyes’ non-conference slate last weekend.
- She recorded a career-high three kills, two blocks and a dig against Tennessee, hitting .500.
- At No. 12 Pitt the next day, MacNeill set career highs with four kills, three blocks and two digs.

Lauren Peter | Women’s Golf | Sr. | Carmel, N.Y.
- Lauren Peter helped the Buckeyes to a win in their first event of the fall season; Ohio State placed first in the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, finishing with a team score of 853 (-11), which is the fourth-lowest team score in program history.
- Peter earned her best career finish, tying for fourth place.
- She shot a 71 (-1) in the first round before tying her career-low with a 70 (-2) in round two. Peter shot even par (72) in the final round for a three-round score of 213 (-3).
- Peter also was selected to carry the Folds of Honor bag at the event. Folds of Honor honors military heroes lost or wounded in action and this season the Buckeyes are honoring Army Maj. Michael J. Donahue. Peter was selected by her teammates to carry the bag based on her leadership, communication and encouragement.
