Day of Giving 2022 Student-Athlete Spotlight: Quinn Preston – Men’s Ice Hockey

Senior Men’s Ice Hockey student-athlete Quinn Preston on what the Ohio State Day of Giving means to him:

I am a senior on the Men’s Ice Hockey team from Trenton, Michigan and I am working towards a sports industry degree. Following this year I am planning to pursue hockey professionally, then eventually manage a marketing team for a professional sports franchise.

I chose to become a Buckeye because I loved the people here at Ohio State and fell in love with the winning culture.

I would never have been able to attend such a prestigious university without my scholarship and this has given me the best chance possible to succeed.

As an African American in a predominantly white sport, the opportunity to receive an amazing education and a chance to make my dream of playing professionally possible is incredible. I really wouldn’t be half the man I am without the scholarship that allowed me to attend Ohio State.
