No. 8 Buckeyes Open Homestand vs. No. 19 Wolverines and Spartans

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8 Ohio State women’s tennis team opens a three-match homestand hosting two Big Ten opponents this weekend. The Buckeyes will take on No. 19 Michigan at 4 p.m. Friday and Michigan State at noon Sunday. Live scoring and video will be available for both matches, and the Sunday match will also be part of the Cracked Racquets Big Ten CrossCourt Cast.
The matches vs. the Wolverines and Spartans will be played INDOORS in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. Admission and parking are FREE for all regular season home matches.

Ohio State vs. Michigan
- The Buckeyes and Wolverines met three times last season. The squads split the regular season series, with each winning 4-3 on the road. They then faced off in the Big Ten Tournament championship match, a 4-1 Ohio State victory.
- The Big Ten Tournament final featured the No. 1 seed Buckeyes and No. 2 Wolverines, who shared the regular-season title. - Against Michigan State, Ohio State has an all-time mark of 36-14, with wins in the last seven matches.
- Michigan State is 9-6 this year and has a 1-3 ledger in Big Ten play, with a win over Indiana and losses to Purdue, Wisconsin and Minnesota. The Spartans will play at Penn State Friday before traveling to Columbus for Sunday’s match.

Buckeye This and That
- Ohio State last played March 18 and 20, winning Big Ten matches at Iowa (6-1) and Nebraska (4-3). The squad also has a Big Ten win over Penn State to stand 3-0 in league play.
- The Buckeyes had just one home match in March, a victory over Xavier March 11. The squad is 4-0 at home this year.
- Isabelle Boulais and Irina Cantos Siemers lead the Buckeyes with 10 singles wins in dual play, with Kolie Allen posting nine and Sydni Ratliff recording eight.

- Ohio State will close out its homestand at 3 p.m. April 8 with a match vs. Northwestern.
