COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team will play at Louisville Thursday night in its final nonconference game of the regular season. The Buckeyes and Cardinals will meet at 7 p.m. in Cardinal Stadium, with ACC Network and Watch ESPN carrying the game. Live scoring will also be available.

Buckeyes vs. Cardinals
- Ohio State is 5-3 all-time vs. Louisville, with a 2-2 record in road games. Ohio State is 3-0 vs. UofL in Columbus and 0-1 in the lone neutral site matchup. The squads met in the 2014 NCAA Tournament, an 11-10 Louisville win in double overtime in Evanston, Ill.
- The teams last met in 2019 in Louisville, a 19-7 victory by the Cardinals.
- Louisville is 5-6 on the year, with losses in its last three games – at North Carolina (21-8), at Duke (16-12) and at home vs. Virginia (12-11).

In the Record Book …
- Buckeye senior Chloë Johnson had nine ground balls at Northwestern to break the Ohio State single-season record. She now has 89, topping the previous mark of 79 set by Katie Chase in 2015 and Molly Wood in 2016.
- Johnson has also moved into third place in the career list with 174 draw controls, passing current associate head coach Gabby Capuzzi, who had 166 from 2009-12.
- Johnson had a career-high 13 draw controls against Duquesne March 10 to tie the program record for a single game, set by Molly Wood twice in 2016.
Stats Stuff …
- Jamie Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 30 goals and 37 points. Nicole Ferrara has a team-best 14 assists and is second with 20 goals and 34 points. Lindsay Epstein has also hit the 20-point mark with 24, ranking third with 18 goals. Jamie Level and Sophie Baez are tied for fourth with 14 goals each. .
- Chloë Johnson is ninth in the country and second in the Big Ten with 8.09 draw controls per game. She has 10 or more in four games this season, including 43 in the last five games combined.
- Johnson leads the Buckeyes with 89 draw controls. Level (35) and Epstein (32) each have more than 30 this season.
- Regan Alexander has started the last 10 games in the cage. She leads the Big Ten and is 25th in the NCAA with 88 saves this year, ranking 29th in save percentage (.461) and 27th in goals-against average (10.77).
- Alexander and Epstein are tied for first for the Buckeyes with 20 ground balls each this year, followed by Jane Cowley with 19, Caly O’Brien with 16 and Jamie Level with 15. Cowley has a team-best 15 caused turnovers and Epstein has 12.
- Ferrara (16 games, 36g, 17a, 51p), Lasda (12 games, 31g, 7a, 38p), Epstein (7 games, 12g, 4a, 16p), Baez (5 games, 12g, 7a, 19p), Level (5 games, 10g, 3a, 13p) and Ali Beekhuizen (3 games, 3g, 1a, 4p) carry scoring streaks of at least three games into Thursday’s contest.
Individually …
- Sophie Baez was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after a team-best five assists and seven points in the win over Penn State. The seven points were one shy of the career-best eight she had against Niagara March 3, 2019 and the five assists were a career high, passing the three she had in that game vs. Niagara. Baez entered the game with three assists in her first 10 games this year.
- Baez is four away from hitting the 100-point mark for her career, with 64 goals and 32 assists in 51 games as a Buckeye.
- Nicole Ferrara has recorded three-plus points in eight of 11 games this year and has at least one point in all 11 outings. She has 36 points in 32 games as a Buckeye, with 58 goals and 28 assists. Ferrara had five points in the win vs. Penn State, with a career-best three assists.
- Epstein has at least one goal in 10 of 11 games this season and multiple points in nine outings. She has played and started 56 games as a Buckeye, with 57 goals, 18 assists and 75 points, along with 68 ground balls, 57 draw controls and 38 caused turnovers. Epstein recorded a career-best seven draw controls against the Nittany Lions and has 32 on the year after 25 in her first 45 games in the Scarlet and Gray. The graduate student has also already set career highs in goals (18) and points (24) this year, matching her personal best in assists (6).
- Ava Keethler has started all 11 games on defense for the Buckeyes this year and has 12 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Cai Martin has 10 starts on defense and sophomore Sarah Johnson made her first start on D Saturday vs. Penn State.
- Jamie Lasda has three-plus goals in four of the last five outings and six games with a hat trick or better this season. After recording two goals and five assists for seven points in nine games as a freshman last year, she has 30 goals, seven assists and 37 points in 11 games this year. She scored twice, including the gamewinner, vs. Penn State.
- Chloë Johnson had her second career hat trick vs. Penn State and her first since Feb. 15, 2020 at Stony Brook. She has matched her career best with 12 goals this year and has a personal-high 16 points.

The Buckeyes will then return to Big Ten play at No. 13 Michigan at 7:30 p.m. April 8, with the game televised by BTN. Ohio State will then host No. 8 Maryland at noon April 17.
