COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team closes out a stretch of three games in less than a week when it hosts Marist at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Admission is free to the game in Ohio Stadium, with parking free in the east and west stadium lots. The matchup will be streamed through Big Ten Plus, with live scoring available.

Buckeyes vs. Red Foxes
- Ohio State and Marist have never met in women’s lacrosse.
- Marist, a member of the MAAC, is 1-5 this season and coming off a 16-9 loss at home against Hofstra last Friday.
- The squad is scoring 8.83 goals a game and allowing 13.83 per contest. The Red Foxes have 90 ground balls this year, with their opponents picking up 93, and have 73 draw controls to their opponents’ 82.

As a team ….
- The Buckeyes enter the game Tuesday with wins in their last two games. Ohio State beat Duquesne on the road, 18-8, last Thursday and topped Mount St. Mary’s, 16-9, Saturday in Ohio Stadium.
- Ohio State is 3-1 at home this year, with wins over Robert Morris, Marquette and Mount St. Mary’s and a loss to No. 21 James Madison.
- Ohio State is averaging 13.25 goals a game, allowing 10.25 per contest. The team is seventh nationally in draw control percentage (.610) and 14th in draw controls per game (16.62). Ohio State averages 34.25 shots per game to rank 11th in the NCAA.
- The Buckeyes have the edge in ground balls, 138-114, and draw controls, 133-85, against their opponents this season.
- Ohio State has been outscored, 47-46, in the first half this season. In the second half, the Buckeyes have the clear edge, 60-35.
Individually …
- Senior Chloë Johnson is third in the country and first in the Big Ten with 8.75 draw controls per game. She has 10 or more in four games this season, including 24 in the last two games combined. She had a career-high 13 draw controls against Duquesne last week to tie the program record for a single game, set by Molly Wood twice in 2016.
- Johnson has 70 draw controls this season, sixth in program history and just nine behind the all-time leaders (Molly Wood/2016 and Katie Chase/2015).
- In her career, Johnson has 155 draw controls, ranking fourth in program history. Current associate head coach Gabby Capuzzi is next on the list, currently third with 166 in the Scarlet and Gray.
- Jamie Lasda has 11 goals in the last two games combined. After posting a then-career best five at Duquesne, she scored six Saturday vs. the Mountaineers. It was tied for the sixth-most in a single game by a Buckeye. She has three games this year with five or more points.
- Lasda leads the Buckeyes with 22 goals and 28 points. Nicole Ferrara has a team-best eight assists and is second with 14 goals and 22 points. Lindsay Epstein has also hit double-digit goals with 12.
- Regan Alexander has started the last seven games in the cage. She leads the Big Ten and is 16th in the NCAA with 68 saves this year, ranking 19th in save percentage (.482) and 22nd in goals-against average (10.13).
- Alexander is first for the Buckeyes with 15 ground balls this year, followed by Lindsay Epstein with 14, Jane Cowley with 13 and Caly O’Brien with 12. Cowley has a team-best 10 caused turnovers.
- Ferrara (13 games, 30g, 11a, 41p), Lasda (9 games, 23g, 6a, 29p), Epstein (4 games, 6g, 3a, 9p), Maura McGregor (4 games, 5g, 5p) and Johnson (3 games, 3g, 2a, 5p) carry scoring streaks of at least three games into Tuesday’s contest.
- Sophie Baez has seven goals in the last two games combined, scoring four times at Duquesne and recording a hat trick vs. Mount St. Mary’s. She now has nine games with three or more goals in the Scarlet and Gray.
- Epstein’s goal against Duquesne was the 50th of her career and she had three points, with a goal and two assists, against The Mount. She has played and started 53 games in the Scarlet and Gray, with 51 goals, 17 assists and 68 points, along with 62 ground balls, 44 draw controls and 34 caused turnovers.
- Nicole Ferrara had a goal and two assists Saturday, moving her scoring streak to a team-best 13 games. She has 74 points as a Buckeye, with 52 goals, in 29 games.
- Jamie Level had back-to-back multiple goal games, with a hat trick (and an assist) at Duquesne and two goals against Mount St. Mary’s. She is second on the team with 30 draw controls, including five in each of the last two outings.
Eyes on the Buckeyes
- The Buckeyes are slated for three games on BTN – at No. 10 Michigan April 8 and at home vs. No. 4 Maryland April 17 and No. 12 Rutgers April 28.
- Ohio State also will appear on ESPNU April 23 at No. 18 Johns Hopkins and on ACC Network March 31 at Louisville.
- The Buckeyes’ games vs. Marist Tuesday and Penn State March 26, along with the game Saturday at No. 5 Northwestern, will be streamed through Big Ten Plus.
