COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State finished play Sunday in the No. 11(t) spot after 36 holes at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona. The 54-hole event is being played at the Westbrook Village Golf Club on the Vistas Course.
The event will conclude Monday with the final 18 holes.
Lauren Peter leads the Buckeyes at +1 (74-71=145) through 36 holes. She is tied for the No. 28 spot in the individual standings.
Aneka Seumanutafa led the Buckeyes with a 71 (-1) score over the first 18 holes. She is tied for the No. 38 spot in the individual competition (+3, 71-76=147). Faith Choi (75-72=147) and Kailie Vongsaga (73-74=147) also enter the final round tied for 38th.
The Buckeyes started out hot in the opening round with Peter going birdie, eagle in her first two holes of the day. She started on hole No. 4.
Seumanutafa birdied three of the first four holes she played in round one beginning with a birdie on hole No. 5. She finished with five birdies in the opening round.
Choi got the Buckeyes going in the second round with three birdies over her first four holes in the afternoon round. She started on hole No. 6.
