COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State moved up five spots Monday on the team leaderboard after shooting a final round score of 282 (-6) at the 2022 Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona.
The Buckeyes were tied for the No. 11 spot after 36 holes but jumped to sixth after going 6-under as a team over the final 18 holes. It was the second best team round of the day. Denver went 7-under to finish fifth.
Faith Choi shot the round of the day for the Buckeyes with a 4-under 68 to jump 21 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 17th.
Aneka Seumanutafa turned in a card with four birdies and 13 pars (-3) to improve 18 spots on the individual leaderboard. She finished tied for 20th. Kailie Vongsaga (-1) also went under par Monday to finish tied for the No. 23 spot.
Mississippi State won the event at -13 (851) for the 54-hole event.
Ohio State will head west again March 13-15 to host the Northrop Grumman Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, California.
