COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 22 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team fell on the road to No. 6 Minnesota, 197.575-195.775, Saturday night in Minneapolis. Sydney Jennings led Ohio State in two rotations and both she and Jojo Warga recorded career-best performances in their respective events.
MEET NOTES
- Colby Miller led the Buckeyes on uneven bars with a 9.900, tying for third overall. Nicole Riccardi earned the Buckeyes’ second-best score with a 9.850. The team finished the rotation with a score of 48.900.
- Sydney Jennings recorded the team’s best mark on the vault, and third-best overall, with a 9.850 to tie her season-high. Riccardi finished second again for Ohio State, this time scoring a 9.775. Ohio State ended the second rotation with a score of 48.825.
- On floor, Claire Gagliardi and Alexis Hankins posted Ohio State’s best routines with scores of 9.875. Jojo Warga earned a career-high score of 9.850 to take third on the team while the Buckeyes completed the rotation with a score of 49.225.
- Ohio State ended the night on beam and Sydney Jennings recorded the team’s best score for the second time, earning a 9.850. She tied her career-high in the event, which she set on Monday against Nebraska. Emma Prichard finished second for the Buckeyes with a score of 9.825. The team finish the rotation with a score of 48.825.
UP NEXT
The Buckeyes are back to competing in the state of Ohio next week as the team travels to Toledo to compete in the Big Five Meet on Friday, Feb. 18. Ohio State will compete against Michigan, Iowa, Illinois and Maryland starting at 8 p.m. ET.
