
Kirk Earns WCHA Goaltender of the Week Nod

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior goaltender Raygan Kirk garnered the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Goaltender of the Week award after posting a shutout in No. 1 Ohio State’s 4-0 win over No. 10 Cornell on Sunday.
The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native posted 12 saves to keep the Big Red off the scoreboard and help the Buckeyes earn a series sweep against Cornell. Her performance improved her season save percentage to .918 in eight games for Ohio State
Kirk’s record is now 6-1-1 for the Buckeyes this season. The win was her second shutout of the year, after posting the Buckeyes’ first clean sheet of the season in a 4-0 shutout at Bemidji State (Oct. 15).
Ohio State returns to action for a couple of non-conference games on Dec. 30 and 31. The Buckeyes will meet Lindenwood Friday at 8:10 p.m. ET and close out 2022 on Saturday at 3:10 p.m. ET in Maryland Heights, Mo. The games will be played at the Centene Community Ice Center and streamed by FloHockey (subscription required).
