COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeye student-athletes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom or in the community. ‘Buckeye Spotlight’ recognizes student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.

Here are this week’s ‘Buckeye Spotlight’ student-athletes:
Chris Dowling | Men’s Soccer | R-Sr. | Dublin, Ohio
- Got the Buckeyes on the board with five seconds left in the 1st half vs. Rutgers
- Has two goals on the season and five points on just seven shots
- Eight appearances for the 5-1-4 Buckeyes
- Also scored in season opener vs. South Carolina in 1-all draw
- He has played in 20 career games in the Scarlet and Gray
Gabby Gonzales | Women’s Volleyball | Sr. | Marietta, Ga.
- Senior outside hitter Gabby Gonzales led the Ohio State offense to two wins on the road this past week to improve to 3-1 in Big Ten play
- Last week, Gonzales averaged 4.50 kills per set, hit a team-best .316 and totaled a pair of double-doubles as she averaged 3.13 digs per set in addition to her kills
- At RV Michigan, Gonzales tied her career-high 22 kills and tied her season-high 12 digs, also adding a pair of service aces. At Indiana, Gonzales finished with 14 kills and a new season-high of 13 digs, again posting a pair of aces. These were her second and third double-doubles of the season
- Gonzales is averaging 3.23 kills and 2.00 digs per set this season as she paces the Buckeyes with 15 service aces
Maxwell Moldovan | Men’s Golf | Jr. | Uniontown, Ohio
- Carded rounds of 68-69-74 (-2) to finish in a tie for third at the Inverness Intercollegiate last week
- Four of his six rounds this season have been in the 60s, giving him 28 for his career. That is the most for any OSU golfer in program history
- This was his seventh Top 5 finish of his career and his 12th career event finishing under-par.
- He also has 17 Top 20 finishes in 22 career events
Kine Flotre | Women’s Soccer | Jr. | Fjellhamar, Norway
- Played a huge role in Ohio State’s 4-0 win at Indiana last week as she assisted on three of the four goals
- The three assists were tied for the most in a single game in program history
- Flotre now leads the team with four assists on the season
- In addition to helping score goals, Flotre has also played well in the defensive midfield, helping lead the Buckeyes to four consecutive shutouts, including a 3-0 win over No. 6 Penn State last Sunday
Delaney Lawler | Field Hockey | Sr. | Moorestown, N.J.
- Usually known for her defense, Delaney Lawler also showed her offensive prowess last weekend.
- Lawler scored the game-tying goal in the fourth quarter and assisted on the game-winner in overtime as Ohio State defeated Michigan State, 2-1, to earn a key Big Ten Conference win.
- Less than 48 hours later, she assisted on the first goal in a 4-0 shutout of Kent State to complete her four-point weekend.
- On defense, she helped lead a unit that gave up a total of just 11 shots in two games.
Travis Treloar | Men’s Hockey| Junior | Kalmar, Sweden
- In the first series of the season, Travis Treloar led the men’s hockey team to a road sweep of Mercyhurst with a Buckeye-best four points.
- He had two assists in the first game, including on the game-winning goal, and a power play tally and helper in game two.
- Treloar was named the Big Ten Second Star of the Week for his performance, his second career league weekly honor and first since December of his freshman year.
Sofie Lundin | Women’s Hockey | Fr. | Helsingborg, Sweden
- Lundin tallied her first collegiate goal this weekend in Ohio State’s 5-4 win over Minnesota State on Saturday
- She finished the game with a team-high tying +3 on ice to help the Buckeyes sweep the Mavericks
- Lundin joins the Buckeye roster after playing with Sweden’s national women’s team at the 2021 and 2022 IIHF Women’s World Championships and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics
