Buckeyes Host a Pair of Top-Five Opponents This Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio – With four consecutive wins, the No. 21-ranked Ohio State field hockey team returns to conference play this weekend with two critical Big Ten battles in Columbus. The Buckeyes host No. 5 Iowa on Friday, Oct. 14 (3 p.m.) and No. 3 Northwestern on Sunday, Oct. 16 (noon). Both games will be streamed live on B1G+.

Briefly on the Buckeyes
- Ohio State rose three spots in this week's NFHCA poll and is up to No. 21. The Buckeyes have been ranked in all six polls this season.
- Sarah Charley leads the squad offensively with 18 points. She's scored eight times – including four last weekend – and has added a pair of assists.
- Fifth-year senior Emma Goldean is second with 12 points (four goals, four assists), followed by Claudia Thomas (10 points) and Leanne Bough (nine points).
- The Buckeyes' defense has allowed just three goals during their four-game winning streak.
- Goalie Abby Danson continues to have a sub-1.00 goals-against average. She currently checks in at 0.94 with a .825 save percentage.

- Iowa comes into Friday's game with a 10-3 overall record and 3-2 mark in Big Ten play.

- The Big Ten Tournament is slated for Nov. 3-6, with three quarterfinals games on Thursday, Nov. 3 followed by the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 4. The championship game will occur on Sunday, Nov. 6.
