COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will conclude its non-conference portion of the schedule on Sunday with a big matchup against No. 6 TCU at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The match, which will be the seventh-consecutive home match for the Buckeyes, will kick at Noon and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
Tickets and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s soccer games.
- The teams have met one time previously in 2019 in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs won that match 3-2. TCU scored the first three goals and the Buckeyes’ furious comeback came up one goal short. Kayla Fischer assisted on both Buckeye goals in the setback.
- The last win over a Top 10 ranked team for the Buckeyes with a 1-0 victory at No. 5 Florida on August 24, 2018.
- This will be the fourth match this season vs. a ranked opponent for the Buckeyes.
- Factoring past and future opponent winning percentages, Ohio State has the fourth-toughest schedule in the country.
- The Buckeyes have won three consecutive matches and enters Sunday’s big match with a record of 5-2-0 record.
- TCU is undefeated on the season and is coming off a 2-1 overtime win at Alabama on Thursday night. The Horned Frogs already have two wins over ranked opponents this season, beating No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 20 Pitt.
- Senior Kayla Fischer leads the Buckeyes in points this season with 13 as she has four goals and five assists. Her 11 points in a four-match stretch earlier this year was the first for a Buckeye in a four-match stretch since 2012.
- Fischer was also named the B1G Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
- Goalkeeper Bailey Kolinski notched her first shutout of the season and the sixth of her career vs. Dayton on Thursday.
- Kolinski and the Buckeye defense has allowed just eight shots on goal over the past three-match win streak.
- The hat trick Emma Sears turned in on Aug. 22 vs. Akron was the second of her career. She also had one vs. Wisconsin on Feb. 25, 2021. Sears is third in the country with three game-winning goals this season.
- The win vs. Akron on Aug. 22 was the 300th in program history. Head coach Lori Walker-Hock, who is in her 25th season at Ohio State, has been on the sidelines for 265 victories.

- Ohio State is about to complete a seven-match homestand, the longest in program history. The match with Dayton on Sept. 9 was scheduled to be in Dayton but because of unplayable field conditions, the match was moved to Columbus.
- The four goals scored against No. 18 UCF was the most against a ranked opponent since the Buckeyes beat No. 23 Indiana 6-0 on Nov. 1, 2009.
- In goal, Bailey Kolinski has started the last 21 games. She has faced just 25 shots in the first seven games. She has six career shutouts.
- Izzy Rodriguez is the reigning Big Ten Defender of the Year and a third team United Soccer Coaches All-American.
- Kayla Fischer leads the team with 13 points. She is fourth in the conference in points per game and leads the conference in shots per game.
- Fischer had 11 points in a four-match stretch from Aug. 29 – Sept. 5. That is the most points by a Buckeye in a four-match stretch since Tiffany Cameron notched 18 points in a four-match stretch in late October of 2012.
- Emma Sears has a team-high five goals on the year. Three of those goals have been game-winners which is third-most in the country.
- Midfielder Kine Flotre has been making things happen out of the midfield this season. She is tied for the team lead with five assists.
- Freshman Kailyn Dudukovich has two goals this season and has attempted 21 shots.
- Junior Kitty Jones Black is second on the team with four assists. She notched a pair of helpers in the 4-2 win over No. 18 UCF.
- Midfielder Brittany Duncan scored her first collegiate goal late in the win over Dayton (Sept. 9)
