No. 10 Buckeyes Post 5-2 Road Win over Nebraska

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 10-ranked Ohio State women's tennis team defeated Nebraska, 5-2, Friday evening in Lincoln, Neb., to improve to 9-3 on the year and 6-1 in Big Ten matches. Irina Cantos Siemers, Luna Dormet, Lisa Hofbauer and Lucia Marzal all won in singles and doubles against the Huskers (5-2, 5-2 B1G).

In Doubles
- The Buckeyes won the doubles point for the seventh match in a row.
- On court three, the tandem of Irina Cantos Simers and Luna Dormet moved to 5-0 this spring with a 6-2 victory over Chloe Kuckelman and Hayley Haakenstad.
- The duo of Lucia Marzal and Lisa Hofbauer clinched the doubles point, as they topped Claire Reifeis and Isa Adrover Gallego, 6-4. They are 5-0 in dual match play.
- On court one, Buckeyes Isabelle Boulais and Kolie Allen were 5-all with Kristina Novak and Maja Makoric when play was suspended.
In Singles
- Dormet dropped just one game against Vivien Sandberg on court six for a 2-0 Buckeye lead. She is 10-1 overall and 8-1 in dual matches this spring.
- Cantos Siemers followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Novak on court one, putting the Buckeyes up 3-0.
- Marzal clinched Ohio State's win, as she rallied from a set down to defeat Haakenstad, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2, on court five.
- Cantos Siemers and Marzal share the Buckeyes' overall lead with 11 wins each. Marzal is 9-1 in dual play, with Cantos Siemers 8-3.
- After a Husker win on court three, Hofbauer defeated Makoric on court four in a super tiebreaker. The Buckeye on the first set, 7-5, but dropped the second 4-6. The tiebreaker went Hofbauer's way, 10-6. Hofbauer is 6-5 in dual play.
- Nebraska won the final match on court two in three sets for the 5-2 final.
