
Buckeyes Clawing Back at Briar’s Creek Inv.

JOHN’S ISLAND, S.C. – Ohio State is fighting its way back up the leaderboard as the second round of the Briar’s Creek Invitational was suspended due to darkness on Monday evening.
The Buckeyes opened the day with a round of 314 but had one of the better rounds going in the afternoon to climb back up the leaderboard. OSU is tied for 10th in the 18-team field and just eight shots out of the Top 5.
Aneka Seumanutafa led the second-round charge as she is 1-under par on her round through 15 holes. She opened with a round of 75 and is 2-over for the tournament. That has her just three shots off the individual lead.
Lauren Peter shot a 78 in the morning round and is 5-over for her afternoon round. She is tied for 47th at 11-over par. Her teammates are all right on her heels. Kailie Vongsaga is 12-over par through 31 holes while Kristin Jamieson is 13-over and Skylar Thompson is 14-over and each have four holes remaining in their second round.
Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
