
Buckeyes Sweep Spartans for Third Time

EAST LANSING, Mich. – For the third time this season, No. 8 Ohio State swept Michigan State, this time winning 7-0 in East Lansing.
The Buckeyes improve to 9-1 on the season and 6-0 in Big Ten matches. They are one of two unbeaten teams in the Big Ten and Ohio State will play the other unbeaten in rival Michigan on Sunday in Ann Arbor.
The Buckeyes shook up the doubles rotation a bit on Friday. John McNally and Robert Cash dropped down to the No. 2 spot and they rolled to a 6-2 victory. After James Trotter and Justin Boulais dropped their match by the same score on court one, JJ Tracy and JJ Mercer delivered the doubles point with a 6-4 win on court three.
Single went according to plan as the Buckeyes dropped just one set in winning all six matches. Cannon Kingsley improved to 15-0 while McNally is now 12-1. Trotter played his first singles match since Feb. 27 and he is now 3-1 on the year. Kyle Seelig, JJ Tracy and Robert Cash all won their matches at the bottom of the lineup while surrendering just a combined eight games.
