Lisa Hofbauer and Lucia Marzal won on courts four and five, respectively, to tie the match and Luna Dormet clinched the win on court six.
Ohio State will wrap up its competition at the tournament against the winner of a consolation match between Northwestern and Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
Quoting Head Coach Melissa Schaub
"We competed well today. We didn't play the best doubles point and had some chances but I thought we turned around and got off to some really good starts in singles. Irina got a high quality win at No. 1 which was big. Georgia Tech made a run in some second sets but we were able to dig in and hold on. Every match here is going to be good so we are going to get ready for tomorrow."
