Indiana Scores 3-0 Win Over Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (4-7-1, 0-4-0 in the Big Ten) fell to Indiana (8-3-1, 3-2-0) 3-0 Tuesday at Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Hoosiers scored a goal in the first half and two in the second to earn the win.
The Buckeyes put on a charge in the 23rd minute when senior Devyn Etling found an open Parker Grinstead but his shot was saved by the IU keeper. After IU took the first three shots of the game, the Buckeyes attempted the next six after a Hoosier score in the 18th minute.
Indiana added a second goal in the 64th minute by Maouloune Goumballe not long after an apparent Etling goal by the Buckeyes was disallowed when Etling was called for a foul before the score in the 63rd.
The Hoosiers scored for the final time in the 85th to seal the win.
How it Happened
Indiana scored first on an 18-yard strike by Tommy Mihalic from the left corner of the box to the upper right corner of the Ohio State net. The Hoosiers, a man up the entire second half, scored in the 64th and 85th on their way to the 3-0 win.
- Ohio State has been involved in eight games decided by one goal in addition to a double overtime 1-all draw vs. Creighton, a 2-0 win over Cleveland State, the 2-0 loss to Wisconsin and at loss at Indiana.
- The teams tied 6-all in shots at the first half with each team recording one shot on net.
- Noah Lawrence made his third start in goal for the Buckeyes this season.
- With a second left in the first half, Ohio State's Owen Sullivan was issued a red card after a foul on an IU breakaway. The Buckeyes played a man down in the second half.
