COLUMBUS, Ohio—The 2021 Ohio State women’s soccer team will begin its 28th season Feb. 20 with a home game vs. Michigan, the Big Ten Conference has announced Friday.
The 2021 season will be the 25th for Lori Walker-Hock as head coach of the Buckeyes.
Brian Jankowski, associated head coach of the Buckeyes, said the team is appreciative of all that went into getting a season planned and executed.
“As the schedule was released today there was a sensational sense of gratitude across the Buckeye locker room,” Jankowski said. “We fully recognize the hard work across all levels of our institutions to allow a season to go forward. Thank you to all of those who wake up every day and continue to battle COVID-19 and care for all of those effected. We play for you.”
The Buckeyes will play six games at home and five on the road in 2021, all vs. Big Ten competition. A wildcard weekend is scheduled for April 8-11 consisting of one or two matchups vs. Big Ten opponents but counting as nonconference games.
Times and game locations will be announced at a later date.
In addition to the Wolverines, Ohio State plays host to Wisconsin Feb. 25, Nebraska Feb. 28, Penn State March 13, Indiana March 25 and Northwestern March 28.
Road games are scheduled against Maryland March 4, Rutgers March 7, Purdue March 18, Illinois March 21 and Michigan State April 3.
