After trailing the Irish at halftime, 17-14, the Buckeyes, led by RB Eddie George (who would catapult into the Heisman Trophy conversation) and QB Bobby Hoying, used a second-half surge to soundly defeat the Irish.
The game also featured a memorable 82-yard catch-and-run touchdown from Ohio State flanker Terry Glenn.
