- Saturday's matchup between Ohio State and Indiana marked the second ranked road win of the season for Ohio State. The Buckeyes are one of just two teams in the country to have multiple ranked wins on the road this season.
- Ohio State snapped Indiana's 22-game winning streak, which was the longest in the country and the longest since Georgia won 29 consecutive games from 2021-23. Additionally, it snapped the Hoosiers 19-game home winning streak, which was the longest in the country.
- Indiana also had a 15-game winning streak in Big Ten play.
- Since the start of the 2024 season, Indiana is now 1-2 against Ohio State and 32-1 against all other teams.
- "First, Julian — I don't have a ton of detail, but he will probably be out for several weeks. You know, we will have to come up with a plan there. And then, when the ball was in the air, I was starting to think about getting a two-minute drill ready to roll. But we talked about going into that drive, as that drive was going on, in the headset, like, 'We have to go win this game on defense.'
"You have to give our staff credit. You've got to give the players credit. You've got to give Matt (Patricia) credit. You know, we were aggressive in that moment, and it worked out for us. So, I thought the defense just ground all game. Resilient.
"You've got to give it to Indiana -- give Indiana a lot of credit. It's a very good team, to win 22-straight games with those players. Charlie Becker just played out of his mind today, and defensively, you know, they just keep coming at you.
"But, obviously, the big points of the game were some of the turnovers we created. We had an opportunity on offense, I felt like, to kind of separate a little bit, and we didn't finish that one drive; we had the pick. But the fourth-down conversion with Jeremiah was a giant play in the game, and at the end of the half, we found a way to be resilient on the last play and score there.
"That was it. It was a hard-fought game, and the guys never gave up. You know, we wanted to be able to win a game like this in the fourth quarter, and the last couple of weeks, I felt like we were able to do that on offense with the run game. This game came down to the defense."
The top-five Buckeyes are off next week for an open date prior to traveling to Los Angeles to play No. 19 USC. This marks the first matchup between these two storied programs since the 2017 season when Ohio State downed the Trojans in Dallas, 24-7.
