Buckeyes and Wolverines Meet Thursday in Lone Regular Season Meeting

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State and rival Michigan are set to meet Thursday night at Value City Arena in the teams’ lone regular season game this season. The Buckeyes have dominated the all-time series but as of late, all of the games have been close. Since the start of the 2010 season, the overall team score in 16 games is separated by just one point. - The last seven games between the two teams have all been decided by single digits and two of those games have gone to overtime.
- The Buckeyes enter the game at 8-6 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten following its 72-62 defeat at No. 17 Maryland on Monday.
- Michigan comes into the contest at 11-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference after its back-to-back wins over Penn State and Michigan State. The Wolverines are led by sophomore Naz Hillmon who is scoring over 15 points per game.
- Braxtin Miller leads the Big Ten in assist-to-turnover ratio as she has 52 assists and just 19 turnovers. What makes that number more impressive is that she averages more than 31 minutes per game.
- Dorka Juhasz leads the team in scoring and rebounding and has nine games of 10 or more points this season.
- Sophomore Aaliyah Patty has a pair of double-doubles this season, the first two of her career. She is averaging over 10 points and eight rebounds in her last four games.
- Freshman guard Jacy Sheldon has started the last four games and has made at least one three-pointer in 11 of 14 games.
- Kierstan Bell is the reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Week. She has earned the award twice so far this year.
- Ohio State has used six different starting lineup combinations this season after using just five different ones all of last year.
