Tallying were Gordi Myer, Austin Pooley, Quinn Preston and Gustaf Westlund.
- How about women’s hockey! The team defeated No. 1 Minnesota in October – handing the Gophers their first loss – and they defeated No. 1 Minnesota again Friday night in Minneapolis, 4-1, to hand them just their second loss of the season. Gabby Rosenthal scored twice while Rebecca Freiburger and Sophie Jaques notched a goal and an assist each. The teams met again Saturday with UM edging the Buckeyes, 2-1, in a game played outdoors as part of Hockey Day Minnesota 2020. No. 5 Ohio State is now 15-6-4 on the year.
- A 40-10 scoring stampede in the final 15 minutes of the game broke a 37-all tie and carried the women’s basketball team to a 77-47 win over Illinois Sunday. Freshmen led: Kierstan Bell had a career-high 19 points; Rebeka Mikulasikova had 12 points and Jacey Sheldon 10.

- Congratulations to wrestlers Kollin Moore and Luke Pletcher, who each won the 100th match of his career this weekend: Moore’s in the Wisconsin dual and Pletcher’s vs. Illinois. Both wrestlers are the No. 1 ranked wrestlers in their weight classes – Moore at 197 and Pletcher at 141 – and both are 18-0 this season.
- The No. 5 fencing teams competed consecutively at the St. John’s Duals and the Philadelphia Invitational this weekend with the women posting a strong, 8-2 record over the two tournaments, going 4-1 at each.

- The season doesn’t open for another week, but put these two on your lacrosse watch list this year: seniors Tre Leclaire and Ryan Terefenko are each three-time All-Americans and they could become the first four-time All-Americans in school history.
- And time to welcome home two former Buckeyes: Jen Flynn Oldenburg, who led Ohio State to four consecutive NCAA appearances as a player in the late 1990s, is the new women’s volleyball head coach; and Kerry Coombs, a six-year secondary coach for Ohio State who spent the last two seasons in the NFL with Tennessee, is the football team’s new defensive coordinator.
