MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Five semifinalists took the mat donning the white Ohio State singlet, and all five walked off as victors with a spot in the finals secured. The Buckeyes are slotted No. 2 in the team standings, 27.5 points clear of third-place Nebraska. Eight OSU wrestlers have clinched NCAA automatic bids with one more still in contention for a ticket to the dance.
UPDATED BRACKETS | (125-lbs 9th Place ‘mini bracket’)
BUCKEYE FINALS MATCH-UPS
No. 10 Luke Pletcher (23-4) vs. No. 4 Nick Suriano (23-3, Rutgers)

In addition to the five finalists listed above, Ke-Shawn Hayes, Te’Shan Campbell and Ethan Smith all punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships. Nine automatic bids are up for grabs at 125 pounds, and Malik Heinselman is part of a six-man bracket to earn that ninth spot. While Chase Singletary is done for the weekend without a guaranteed spot at nationals, he’s a solid contender for one of four at-large bids available at heavyweight. Those selections are announced on Tuesday (March 12). Singletary received a tough draw, facing top-10 opponents in back-to-back bouts.
