


Buckeyes Face Navy in Home Opener

COLUMBUS, Ohio –Ohio State Rifle posted a team score of 4,647 in their home opener vs. Navy on Oct. 20.
In smallbore the Buckeyes fired a season-high score of 2,307, led by a career-best score of 583 from sophomore Ariel Hall. Jacob Buchanan posted a season-best 577 while Rhiann Travis (575), Annie Tomb (572), and Annabelle Stanec (567) rounded out team scoring.
Elizabeth Dutton led the way for Ohio State’s individuals posting a score of 574. Katie Ezell (565), Joel Potts (560), Jared Minor (558), Megan Wilcoxson (556), Mica Harr (555), Natalie Katsuyama (554), and Wynn Lekhavanija (540) rounded out individual scoring.
In air rifle Ohio State fired a score of 2,340 led by Travis and Hall who both fired scores of 589. Buchanan (583), Stanec (579) and Tomb (578) rounded out team scoring. Katsuyama led the way for the individuals with a score of 586. She was followed by Dutton (585), Ezell (583), Harr (583), Minor (575), Potts (574), Lekhavanija (574), and Wilcoxson (565).
“It was exciting to host our first home competition of the year on Sunday, ” Ryan Tanoue, head coach, said. “We were able to see some great performances, but of course still have a lot of areas to improve as we head into the stretch run of the fall season.”
Ohio State Rifle returns to action on November 2nd at home against Murray State University.
